MASSA LUBRENSE

Two places that make Massa Lubrense unique and of great are: the first “Punta Campanella”, where the Temple of Athena (Athenaion) once stood, (le) and where today a few ruins of a Roman Villa ( l – ll century BC ) can be seen, and the Minerva Tower from the viceroyal age (1567); the second is the “Baia di Jeranto” a cove between two promontories called Punta Campanella and Punta Penna, where an old\ex quarry can be seen, nowadays owned and managed by a private trust FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italia), that gives free access to the public.
